I am really tired of the sop called "Reality" television programs.
How is reality if they have writers and directors?

Here we go again, the WTCC weekly radio chart!

Just sitting here trying to recover from last week.
It was hectic.

One thing that confuses me, music venues and clubs.
I see a posting on Craigs-list every few weeks from a particular club.
They always are looking for bands to play the venue.
The place is a decent size club and has plenty of parking.
Why are they always looking for bands?
This is a bit of a jump but they have some bizarre guidelines.
One is you don't charge the regulars who come in.
So the regulars who come in to nurse a beer for an hour, get to listen for free.
While someone who comes in to hear the music and support the bands, pays the cover.
Needless to say I went a few times to see friends.
I can honestly say that I have never been there for any other purpose.
Meanwhile, other clubs have bands every week,
They charge covers and the regulars still show up.
I understand it is a struggle, the times are tough.
You think you might get more customers if you give them a little
something new every now and then?
I am sure it is like this all everywhere, but it still remains a mystery to me...

Saturday night will be the May edition of the Space Show Radio Sabado Grande.

This weeks WTCC Radio Chart, It Lives!

The weather certainly has been playing some sort of psychological war game with us.
From the beautiful sunny 70 degree days to the cloudy chilly 50 degree days, it has been
just wonderful. I got a chance to mow the yard on Saturday.
The grass was green and the birds were chirping!

The weekend before last was an adventure. It started out with me buying a mandolin. Positive experience, yes it was?Then I went to a party, after that it was all downhill. After the party, which by the way was pretty good, lots of food and good people all around. When I returned to my home, the stomach started acting up and away we went. Basically I did nothing on Sunday. Postponed band practice and I missed a day of work. The opportunity to publish my weekly radio chart just did not happen. When it comes down to it, man just say no to the macaroni salad....

Friday found me at the Paper City Brewery. The Donut Kings had their first show of the year at the brewery. The crowd was decent, give or take it seemed to be about 150 people or so. This was my first show with the Donut Kings and my first show in almost two years. Man was it fun. I managed to break a guitar string on the second song.   The nest brewery show is Friday October 5th!http://www.donutkings.com/.

This Friday The Uncomfortables, The Damaged, Skrogg and HydroElectric will all be playing at The Waterfront in Holyoke. http://uncomfortables.net/index.html Show starts @ 9 PM. It should be a good one.
